Thursday, January 2, and Thursdays all month long, 10:15 to 11:15 am, Tap Dancing Lessons at Malibu City Hall. No prior experience is necessary for these one hour tap dance classes. Tap shoes are required and the cost is $5 per class.
Friday, January 3, and Monday, Wednesday, Friday all month long, 9 to 10 am, yoga at the Annenberg Community Beach House. What better way to start the new year than by taking care of your body. These yoga classes are open to all ability levels and you can drop in or pre-register.
Monday, January 6, and Mondays all month long, 7:15 to 8:15 pm, Community Dance Lessons at the Michael Landon Center in Malibu Bluffs Park. The City of Malibu hosts these community dance lessons with MC Callaghan. Come learn to swing, ballroom, foxtrot, rumba, and tango, and more. The cost is $20 per class. All ages are welcome and RSVP preferred 760-238-1498.
Sunday, January 12, 12:30 to 3:30 pm, California Strong Celebrity Softball Game at Pepperdine University. This is a fun annual fundraiser bringing celebrities together for a fun day of softball and giving back. Actors, musicians, and athletes participate, raising funds for those in need. Swing by and enjoy watching the fun!
Sunday, January 12 and 26, 7 am, Cars and Coffee at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway. The City of Malibu hosts a free exclusive motor show every second and fourth Sunday. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. 7 a.m.
Sunday, January 19, 7 am to 9 am, Wheels & Waves at Malibu Country Mart, 3835 Cross Creek Road. Malibu’s own Fireball Tim is hosting the monthly Wheels & Waves Car Show. Stop by and check out a variety of classic, muscle, and custom vehicles. This fun car show takes place on the third Sunday of every month.
Saturday, January 25, 10 am to noon, Art to Wellness art class at the Michael Landon Center at Malibu Bluffs Park. Learn to heal through painting. Seniors are invited to paint their own acrylic painting in 2 hours with artist instructor Carla Bates. Class and art supplies including canvas and paint are provided free as one of the BlueSea Art to Wellness community programs.
