Malibu CA events and activities for December are many and varied. Whether you would like to take the kids for photos with Santa or try your hand at writing a poem, you can do something different this month. Of course, you can always just walk the beach and enjoy the views or dine in one of our fabulous restaurants. The Malibu CA area has something to offer everyone!

A sampling of December activities & events in Malibu CA:

December 3 – 5, Friday (5 to 7 pm), Saturday and Sunday (4 to 8 pm), Malibu Holiday Fest & Market. This first annual premier holiday event will include holiday lights, shopping, and live music. There will be a variety of activities including snow play and sledding, mini Polar Express rides, visits with Santa, holiday carolers, and more.

December 4, Saturday, 11 am to 12:30 pm, The Write Time, Poetry Writing Workshop. This complimentary poetry workshop is open to poets of all levels. Malibu Poet Laureate Ann Buxie will lead The Write Time poetry writing workshop by using prompts and examples to explore different forms of poetry, inspire different poetry approaches, and encourage new works. An RSVP is required by calling 310-456-2489, ext. 349.

December 12, Sunday, 9 to 11 am, Beach Walk & Sketch 2021 at the Annenberg Community Beach House. Beach Walk & Sketch with the LA Audubon Society is a free event. Binoculars, drawing boards, pencils, and newsprint, or bring your own easy-to-carry sketching tools. Registration is requested but in-person registration will be available.
